Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is currently shooting for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's upcoming directorial venture Fanney Khan with Anil Kapoor, is reportedly teaming up with genius filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali once again.
It is no secret that before Deepika Padukone came around, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was the only Bollywood actress whom Bhansali repeated in three of his productions. They first collaborated on the romantic drama Hum Dil Chuke Sanam, which had Salman Khan as the male lead. After the smashing success of their first outing, they joined forces for Devdas, which was again a blockbuster film.
Their last collaboration was Guzaarish, which released in 2010. Starring Hrithik Roshan in the lead role, the film was based on the subject of mercy killing. The film failed to draw the audience due to its very niche storyline.
But if latest reports are to be believed, both are willing to come together again, however, for a completely different film. A source says, "They met this week and have decided to work on a big project that won’t be an epic story, and it won’t be heavy in tone either. Instead, it would be light in tone. In fact, the two intend to collaborate for a comedy film."
"Everyone knows that Aishwarya is a role model for all the heroines who work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. And no matter who he works with, she remains the benchmark. Even during the past five years, when he worked with other actors, the director has been constantly in touch with Aishwarya," the source adds.
Fans will surely be extremely excited after hearing the news that the two powerhouses of talent are coming together again after a huge gap of seven years.
