Kriti Sanon all set to gain 15 kgs for Mimi

Kriti Sanon was last seen on the big screen in Panipat. Though the film didn’t do well at the box office, Kriti’s performance as Parvati Bai impressed us a lot. The actress will next be seen on the big screen in Mimi which is being directed by Laxman Utekar.

The actress for the film will be gaining 15 kgs. She told a news agency, "For me, putting on so many kilos is actually a challenge as it's very new for my body. I have to in a way fight my metabolism and increase my calorie intake to gain that much weight in a short time.”

"But I'm excited to see the transformation. It's a role very close to my heart and I want to give it everything I can, even if that means not taking up any other work in the process," the actress added.

Mimi is a remake of Marathi film Mala Aai Vahhaychy which released in 2011. It received National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi. The movie is based on the backdrop of surrogacy. This is not the first time Mala Aai Vahhaychy is being remade. In 2013, the film was remade in Telugu with the title Welcome Obama. We surely have high expectations from Mimi as Mala Aai Vahhaychy was an amazing film.

Talking about the other projects of Kriti, the actress has Bachchan Pandey in her kitty which is slated to release on Christmas this year. She will be teaming up with Akshay Kumar in the film for the second time after Housefull 4 . Reportedly, Kriti will also be seen opposite Salman Khan in Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. However, there’s no official announcement about it.
