Nawazuddin Siddiqui traveled from Mumbai to his native place Budhana in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. The actor had taken the travel pass and along with a few family members he traveled in a private car from Mumbai to UP.

According to a report in IANS, Nawazuddin reached Budhana on 15th May and was tested for coronavirus. Though he and his family have been tested negative, they have been told to home quarantine themselves for 14 days.

Kushalpal Singh, Station House Officer (SHO), Budhana police circle, stated that the health officials had visited the actor’s house and told him to go under home quarantine for 14 days.

Talking about Nawazuddin’s movies, the actor will next be seen in Ghoomketu, a delayed film that will finally release this year on Zee5. The movie also stars Anurag Kashyap and has been in the pipeline since 2013. Apart from Ghoomketu, Nawaz has films like Bole Chudiyan, Roam Rome Mein, and Raat Akeli Hai in his kitty.

While talking about how he is spending his days during the lockdown, Nawaz had earlier stated, “I watch back-to-back movies, at one go, of one particular favourite actor of mine, such as Anthony Hopkins, Daniel Day-Lewis, Ricardo Darin, and Tony Leung, etc. Then, I move on to another actor’s films. That way, I understand how the same actor must have gone through preparing for such different parts. So, I get a sneak-peek into his mindset and processes.”

“The idea is to watch tough, path-breaking work. I feel people, especially the younger generation, are also watching that kind of work on OTT platforms. So, after this period, time-pass films may start looking out of place. And accordingly, our filmmakers also have to alter their craft,” the actor added.
