Manoj Chandila roped in to play the male lead in Balaji Telefilms’ next!

According to reports, Indian TV Queen Ekta Kapoor is all set to launch her new show, titled Pyaar Ki Kasauti. The show will have an impressive lineup of actors and, if reports are true, tall and handsome Manoj Chandila has been roped in to play the male lead in the soap. The actor was last seen in Yeh Hain Mohabbatein.

Besides Chandila, Deeksha Sonalkar and Ajay Arya have been roped in to play key characters. Deeksha will play the love interest of Manoj. Besides these three actors, the show will have a number of popular television faces.

Reportedly, Ekta Kapoor wanted to launch the show on a leading GEC, but things did not work out well with the channel and the producer decided to approach India’s national broadcaster Doordarshan to run the show. Insiders say that Ekta was not happy with the time slot the channel was offering her and hence she opted for DD Channel.

However, another source adds, “The makers are in talks with popular GECs like Colors and Star Bharat and if Colors allots a time slot of 7 or 7.30 to the producers then the soap will be shifted to Colors.”

We will have to wait until the show is officially announced. However, Pyaar Ki Kasauti is expected to go on air by November.
