Fan Club Of The Week - Hrithik Roshan

by Asjad Nazir.

MASSIVELY-popular movie star Hrithik Roshan has dedicated fan clubs all over the world. One of these is a Kolkata-based one run by Laxman Das, Prasenjit Mitra, Krishnendu Manna

and Sayan Adhikary. Eastern Eye caught up with them to find out more...

What made you set up the fan club?

We had started it to unite all the fans of Hrithik sir in Kolkata and to reach out to our idol as a unit.

Tell us about your fan club...

We try to help others in society in the name of Hrithik Roshan, including orphans and the elderly. We organise blood donation camps every year. We also have events during our

idol’s birthday, for new film releases and post updates about him.

What has been your best moment?

Primarily when we succeed in organising any event as a team that day becomes memorable. The feeling when Hrithik sir tweeted us after noticing our efforts, and finally coming to Kolkata to spend time with our members cannot be matched!

What do you like most about Hrithik?

Mr Hrithik Roshan is the best looking actor, his acting skills are outstanding and his dancing is out of this world. Many people may have this nature, but the quality that separates

him from the rest is his humane nature. We have not met such a down-to-earth celebrity till date!

What is your favourite work of his?

He has always been helping people in society, which inspires us to do so as well. He donated his first pay-check of Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai to the victims of Bhuj earthquake. He

made many such monetary helps, but the most noteworthy was pledging to donate his eyes on his 43rd birthday. These eyes would bring light to another people’s life!

Tell us an interesting fact about him?

Despite facing difficulties like stammering, scoliosis and many injuries, he came back stronger every time, setting an example for his children and others. He shares motivational

videos, pictures and quotes so fans can be motivated and achieve great things. Not every star does that.

What is your definition of a true fan?

A true fan loves the star but watching a movie is not enough. A fan should be inspired by the star’s real life ideals and achieve something so the star can be proud to have them.
