AWARD-WINNING actor Ranveer Singh has risen through the ranks to become one of the biggest stars in Bollywood. The popular hero of high-profile films has a number of dedicated admirers including Pooja Patel from USA, who runs a fan club dedicated to him. Eastern Eye caught up with her to find out more...

What made you set up the fan club?


Ranveer Singh is the reason why the fan club Ranveer Planet exists. Words can’t describe how much he inspires me. He never fails to make my day better. I wanted to create a place that Ranveerians could call home.

Tell us about your fan club?

Ranveer Planet is the place to get all the daily updates, photos, videos and more. We show love and support for him and make fans unite.

What has been your memorable moment?

There have been many. But I still can’t forget the day when Ranveer followed my fan club back. It was such a priceless moment.

What is the best thing you like about him? 

The best thing about Ranveer is that he is just himself. He is a very special human being. He literally remembers all of his fans when he meets them and treats them all like family. I have never seen any celebrity who treats his fans with so much love and respect. Ranveer has a heart full of love.

What is your favourite work Ranveer has done?

Bajirao Mastani is Ranveer’s best to date. Nobody could have done justice to this role in that film except him. He didn’t just play the role of Bajirao, he lived it.

Tell us an interesting fact about Ranveer...

After completing his studies and returning to Mumbai in 2007, Ranveer worked for a few years in advertising as a copywriter. He then worked as an assistant director, but left to pursue acting.

What is your definition of a true fan? 

A true fan is someone who stands behind his idol through thick and thin.

Long before cross-border music partnerships became routine, Asha Bhosle was already working with international artists across genres.

Her collaborations included Boy George on Bow Down Mister, Michael Stipe of R.E.M. on The Way You Dream, and later work with virtual band Gorillaz on their 2026 album The Mountain.
