Vidya Balan: My heart breaks at the vilification of Rhea Chakraborty

A lot of celebs have spoken about Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, the case revolving around it, Rhea Chakraborty being the prime suspect, and more. But not many celebs have spoken about the media trial (done by Television media) that Rhea is going through.

Many TV news channels have already announced that Rhea is guilty and even people on social media are trashing her left, right, and center. A few days ago, Kaatrin Mozhi actress Lakshmi Manchu tweeted about the media trial against Rhea and also stated that she would expect at least some people to stand up for her.

First, it was Taapsee Pannu who agreed with Lakhsmi and now, Vidya Balan has spoken about it. She shared a note on Twitter that read, “God bless you @LaskhmiManchu for saying this out loud. It is unfortunate that the tragic and untimely death of a beloved young star Sushant Singh Rajput has become a media cricus. In the same breath, as a woman, my heart breaks at the vilification of Rhea Chakraborty. Isn’t it supposed to be ‘Innocent Until Proved Guilty’, or is it now ‘Guilty Until Proven Innocent’!? Let’s show some respect for the constitutional rights of a citizen and let the law take its course.”

Well, currently Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty, Sushant’s friends, house help, and family are being questioned by CBI. Earlier, the case was being handled by Mumbai Police, but SC ordered a CBI probe in it.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s father has filed a complaint against Rhea for stealing the actor’s money and instigating him to die by suicide. Sushant passed away on 14th June 2020.

The AMAs, back after a two-year break, had already promised a punch with its revived format and new award categories. But it was Lopez, as host and opener, who turned the volume all the way up.
