Sonam Kapoor is all set to make us meet India’s Lucky Charm, and we have guessed who it is

Sonam Kapoor was last seen on the big screen in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. Though the film failed to make a mark at the box office, the actress’ performance was liked by everyone. Now she is all set to be back on the big screen as India’s lucky charm.

Today, the actress shared a video on Instagram, and captioned it as, “Ye lucky nahi, khud luck hai! Bringing you India’s lucky charm, shubh ghadi dekhte hi! --- This is not lucky but luck itself is here! All will be revealed tomorrow! Get ready to meet India’s lucky charm!”

Well, if you haven’t guessed who this India’s lucky charm is, then let us tell you that Sonam is all set to introduce us to Zoya Solanki. The actress will be seen in a film titled The Zoya Factor, in which a girl named Zoya becomes the lucky charm for the Indian cricket team. The movie is based on Anuja Chauhan's 2008 novel The Zoya Factor.

The Zoya Factor also stars Dulquer Salmaan who will be seen playing the character of the Indian Cricket Team captain in the film. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the movie is produced by Fox Star Studios and it is slated to hit the screens on 20th September 2019.

While talking about her character, Sonam had earlier said, “A lot of girls tend to be like, ‘Listen, if I am such a mess, how am I ever going to succeed in life?’ But I want to say, it’s okay to be a mess. I think that’s what I said through Mili in Khoobsurat and that’s what I liked about Zoya as well. I like to play girls who are regular and normal, who have regular problems because all of us have them.”

A few days ago, Sonam had shared a still of the film while wishing her co-star Dulquer on his birthday. She had posted, “Many many happy returns of the day @dqsalmaan! They say the number 28 represents leadership, self-determination and independence! Guess lady luck has always been generous to you! Hope you have a great year ahead!”
