Rani Mukerji is on a promotional spree for Hichki. As per the reports in the leading Indian daily, the actress will be meeting Sri Sri Ravishankar to discuss hiccups of life. The actress said, "He has focused on the power of positive thinking and actions, and universal love and his message has resonated with countless people. It will be amazing to be a part of this session and hear him speak."
Rani who will be playing the role of a teacher suffering from Tourette syndrome, revealed in a recent interview to a leading Indian daily about her problem of stammering in real life. She said, "I was very conscious of it (stammering) early on in life, so I made sure that I worked towards my lines (from films) in such a way that I knew them thoroughly and I would know where to take the pauses exactly to be able to camouflage that. I always choose to look at the positive side of things. In fact, spending with Adira and seeing her happy gave me a lot of strength to come out of a sort of depression that I got into because of my father passing away recently."
Talking about the film, she had said, “When the script came to me, I wasn’t thinking about getting back to work. I really liked the script and said, ‘Okay, we can go ahead with it.’ It was a process that happened organically. Then it hit me, ‘I have to leave my daughter and go to work.’ My husband feels if he hadn’t have pushed me, I wouldn’t have come back. I would be very happy being with Adira whole day long. And that’s true. I am most content when I am with my daughter. Right now, she is taking her afternoon nap, so I am comfortable. The minute she wakes up, I will be like, ‘Okay, time to go.’’
Hichki which was supposed to release on February 23, 2018, will now release on March 23, 2018.
