Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural series Qayamat Ki Raat gets an extension

Speculations were rife that Star Plus was mulling over pulling the plug on producer Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural series Qayamat Ki Raat which premiered on 23rd June and allot the same time slot to producer Guruodev Bhalla’s upcoming show, Divya Drishti, written by acclaimed Bollywood writer-director Mahesh Bhatt.

However, the latest we hear that there is a major change in plan. Qayamat Ki Raat, starring Karishma Tanna, Vivek Dahiya and Saurish Singh Athwal in pivotal roles, will not go off-air anytime soon. The channel has, in fact, decided to give an extension to the series.

If sources are to be believed, the series is heading for a time leap also. “Qayamat (Ki Raat) has got an extension and will be taking a leap. Some characters will bid adieu to the show while Karishma and Vivek will be retained," a credible source informs.

As for Divya Drishti, the channel is looking at locking another time slot for the show.

More details are awaited.
