Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt’s character details in Bhansali’s next revealed

Ever since superstar Salman Khan announced that he is set to reteam with ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali after a gap of 19 years, on a film called Inshallah, fans have been on cloud nine. Recently, Alia Bhatt also joined the cast of the movie, which led people to speculate if Khan and Bhatt are romantically paired opposite each other.

The makers are tight-lipped about the relationship both the actors share in the film. While many people believe they play a couple, several media outlets have gone on to report the duo has been roped in to play siblings in the movie.

If the latest report on both the actors’ characters in Inshallah is to be believed, they are definitely playing the lead couple in the much-awaited movie. Salman will be seen in the role of a middle-aged businessman while Alia essays the character of an aspiring young actress who wants to make it big in the business.

“Salman is a businessman in his mid-40s. The character is reminiscent of his turn in his 1997 romcom Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai. Alia plays a 20-something aspiring actress. All the factors, including the age gap, have been taken into consideration. The story will justify the teaming up of two actors, from different generations, on a romantic journey,” a source reveals.

The makers are looking at shooting the film in Haridwar, Rishikesh and Varanasi in India. “The locations under consideration are Haridwar, Rishikesh and Varanasi,” the source informs, adding that a major schedule has been planned in the US also. “The crew was contemplating on several places, including Europe, but settled on the US after several rounds of recce. Salman and Alia will be there in winters.”

Inshallah goes on floors in September.
