Remaking South Indian films is nothing new in Bollywood. This Friday we will be watching Sanjay Dutt starrer Prassthanam which is a remake of 2010 release Telugu film with the same name. And now, according to a report in an entertainment portal, Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Baaghi 3 is a remake of the Tamil film Vettai.

The original film starred Arya, R. Madhavan, Sameera Reddy, and Amala Paul. The movie was about to brothers and how they take revenge for their father’s death. Apart from Tiger and Shraddha, Baaghi 3 also stars Riteish Deshmukh and we don’t be surprised if Tiger and Riteish play siblings in the film.

Well, Baaghi 2 was also a remake of a South Indian film. The Ahmed Khan directorial was a remake of Telugu film Kshanam. While the original film was a thriller, Baaghi 2 was made as an action flick.

It was a few days ago when the makers of Baaghi 3 kickstarted the shooting of the film in Mumbai. The movie is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Ahmed Khan. The official Twitter handle of the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment had tweeted, “Kick. Fly. Punch. This time it’s going to be three times the Action ? #SajidNadiadwala's #Baaghi3 shoot begins today! ?????? @khan_ahmedasas @iTIGERSHROFF @ShraddhaKapoor @Riteishd @farhad_samji @WardaNadiadwala @foxstarhindi.”

2016 release Baaghi starred Shraddha and Tiger in the lead roles. The film was a hit at the box office. Then the makers came up with the sequel to the film in 2018 titled Baaghi 2. The movie had Tiger and Disha Patani in the lead roles and was a blockbuster at the box office. And now, once again for Baaghi 3, Tiger and Shraddha have teamed up. The movie is slated to release on 6th March 2020.
