Airlift helmer wants Ranbir Kapoor in his next?

Even after putting his heart and soul into each one of his projects, Ranbir Kapoor's last few films could not achieve the kind of commercial success a Ranbir Kapoor starrer is expected to. Now, the star is looking forward to the release of Sanjay Dutt biopic with a lot of hope.

Besides Rajkumar Hirani's Sanjay Dutt biopic, another big-ticket film that could possibly change his stars forever is Ayan Mukerji's fantasy drama, Brahmastra, which is a Dharma Productions' venture produced by Karan Johar.

The latest we hear that Airlift and Chef helmer, Raja Krishna Menon, is also interested in casting Kapoor in his upcoming venture which will be a thriller. The director is currently busy writing the script.

“Raja Krishna Menon is planning a film with Ranbir Kapoor. He is working on the script currently. The actor and the director are yet to meet and take the discussion forward,” revealed a well-placed source.

When the director was asked about the same, he said, “I am planning a film. It’s a fictional thriller-drama. The first draft of the film is ready. I do have a few actors in mind but I don’t want to name anyone right now. I haven’t approached anyone. We plan to begin shooting sometime around end-summer next year.”

Ranbir Kapoor's Sanjay Dutt's biopic will hit screens on March 30, 2018
