Varun Dhawan to provide free meals to the poor, doctors and other medical staff

A few days ago, Varun Dhawan had donated Rs 30 lakh to PM-CARES Fund and Rs 25 lakh to Maharashtra CM’s relief fund. And now, Varun has pledged to provide free meals to poor, doctors and medical staff.

Varun took to Instagram to share a note about the same. He captioned the post as, “This is a long battle and we have to fight it together. Finding solutions is the only way foward. @ratantata #tatatrust.”

In the note Varun has written, "With each passing day of being locked down at home, my heart goes out to all those who have no home in this time of crisis. And so this week I've committed to provide meals for the poor who are without homes or jobs. I also have deep admiration for all those who are risking their lives by working on the frontlines. I've committed to provide meals to doctors and medical staff at hospitals. All meals are provided through the Taj Public Service Welfare Trust. It's a small step. But during crisis like this, we have to make every step count. I will continue to do what best I can – Varun Dhawan.”

Talking about Varun’s films, Coolie No. 1 was supposed to hit the screens on 1st May 2020, but it will clearly get postponed due to the lockdown. Currently, the lockdown in India is till 14th April 2020, but even if the lockdown is over, we are sure the makers won’t release the film with just 15 days of promotions. Well, the actor was also going to star in a film titled Mr. Lele, but the movie has been put on a backburner.
