Super fan of the week - Harshad Chopda

Talented actor Harshad Chopda has consistently delivered great performances and won himself a legion of admirers, including Tehreem from Pakistan. Eastern Eye caught up with dedicated super fan Tehreem to find out more.

What first connected you to Harshad Chopda?

His character Aditya Hooda in Bepannaah was the first thing that connected me to him.

What made you his super fan?

As the show went on, we got to see so many shades of Aditya’s character and with each layer, I was in awe of him as an actor. His exceptional talent made me a die-hard fan.

Tell us about something super you have done for Harshad?

As the awards season began, I urged other fans to vote for him for various awards, in addition to voting tirelessly day and night for him. When dreaded rumours Bepannaah was about to end emerged, I, along with other fans, coordinated fan efforts to try to convince the channel to continue the show. Unfortunately, our efforts went in vain, but I’m proud of us for helping the show and Harshad get recognition.

What has been your most memorable moment?

It’s Harshad winning the ITA award for best actor. A character he put his heart and soul into was getting the recognition it rightfully deserved.

What is the thing you most love about your idol?

His work ethic and general outlook on life are very inspiring. I try to incorporate these in my life as well.

Which quality in Harshad do you most relate to?

Harshad seems to be a genuine person and this is something I can relate to it as I believe in letting people see the real me.

What is your favourite work Harshad has done?

I would choose Bepannaah as his best work as an actor. Aditya Hooda was a complex character with multiple layers, and yet, he came across as very relatable. Though it was already well written, I believe Harshad elevated it immensely.

Why do you love being a super fan?

The best thing about being a super fan is getting to know and talk to other super fans. The internet can be an ugly place at times, but it’s nice to meet like-minded people and fan girl together.
