Sidharth Malhotra in talks for a digital show

Buzz has it that uber cool Sidharth Malhotra, who was last seen in Neeraj Pandey’s espionage thriller Aiyaary (2018), has been approached to topline a web-show, which is being backed by one of the leading streamers.

If Malhotra agrees to come onboard the series, he will be the next A-list actor after Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Emraan Hashmi and Akshay Kumar to take a plunge into the ever-expanding world of digital entertainment.

Talking about the offer, a trade source says, “Yes, he has been approached for a web-series but he and his team have not yet decided on whether they should sign up or not. Right now he is working on the Vikram Batra biopic after wrapping the shoot of his other films Marjaavaan as well as Jabariya Jodi.”

Malhotra had previously said that he would like to stick to films because films inspired him to become an actor. However, with many leading actors exploring the digital medium like never before, you never know when the actor changes his mind.
