Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 to battle it out with Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra

A box-office clash between two big films will always make headlines. The latest clash that has come to the fore is between Salman Khan’s much-awaited flick Dabangg 3 and Ranbir Kapoor’s adventure fantasy drama Brahmastra. Buzz has it that both big-ticket films might battle it out at the box office next year.

Initially, Dabangg 3 was expected to hit screens at the end of 2018. However, Khan’s ongoing Jodhpur court case and tight shooting schedules have reportedly left the makers with no choice except pushing the film back.

Earlier, the shooting for the third instalment of the Dabangg franchise was expected to begin in June, but that does not seem possible if we look at the current work commitments of the megastar. The actor is currently promoting his upcoming film Race 3. Then he is about to commence work on his next Bharat, which goes on floors next month. This leaves Khan with no time for other commitments.

“Salman’s schedule is very tight right now. He needs some time off to concentrate on how to handle the court case and needs a breather in between his films for the promotions as well. This means Dabangg 3 will have to look at the Independence Day weekend because that’s one better slot available. That would, however, imply the film will clash with Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra,” reveals a trade source.
