Salman Khan thanks fans for giving him his career's biggest opening with Bharat

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat has received mixed reviews, but Bhai’s fans have loved the film. The movie took a fantastic start at the box office and on day one it has collected Rs 42.30 crore which is the highest opening for Salman Khan till date.

His last release Race 3 on day one had collected Rs 29.17 crore, Tiger Zinda Hai had opened to Rs 34.10 crore and Tubelight collected Rs 21.15 crore on its first day. With Bharat collecting Rs 42.30 crore on day one, it is clear that Bhai’s fans are looking for entertainment from him.

Salman took to Twitter to thank his fans for giving him the biggest opening of his career with Bharat. He said, “Big thk u sabko fr giving sabse bada opening mere career ka par what made me the happiest & proudest is ki during a scene in my film jab national anthem is recited ev1 stood up as a mark of respect. There could be no bigger respect for our country than this... Jai Hind? #Bharat.”

Salman Khan’s performance in Bharat is being appreciated a lot. It is clearly one of his best performances in recent times. One thing that has also worked in the favour of Bharat is the pairing of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. Audiences love to see them together on the big screen and their chemistry is surely one of the highlights of the film.

Bharat is Salman and director Ali Abbas Zafar’s third film together. Their last two releases Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, both were blockbusters at the box office. Yesterday, it was Eid, a public holiday and that is one of the reasons for such a great collection on day one. However, now it will be interesting what business the film will do in the upcoming days.

Last year, Aamir Khan starrer Thugs Of Hindostan had also opened very well at the box office with collecting Rs 50 crore on day one. But negative reviews and bad word of mouth made the movie a disaster at the box office. Bharat needs to sustain well in the upcoming days to be a blockbuster.
