Starring Abhimanyu Dassani, Shirley Setia, Shilpa Shetty, and Abhimanyu Singh in important roles, the upcoming Bollywood film Nikamma is set to release on June 17, 2022.

Bankrolled by Sony Pictures Films India and Sabbir Khan Films, the action entertainer is directed by Sabbir Khan, who has previously helmed Heropanti (2014) and Baaghi (2016).

Khan is happy that the film is releasing in theatres, “The whole team has been waiting very patiently for the times to be right for the world and I am just happy to see our film finally getting a theatrical release, which is what the film was conceived for. The fresh new pairing of Abhimanyu and Shirley will surprise everyone, with Shilpa in a totally different avatar. I hope that the audiences will show the same love for Abhi and Shirley as they had done for Tiger and Kriti in their debut Heropanti,” he says.

Last seen in the Netflix film Meenakshi Sundareshwar (2021), Dassani is excited about his next theatrical release. “They say good things take time. I believe the same when it comes to Nikamma. Working on this film has been an adventure I'm glad we chose to wait for a theatrical release for it. ‘Nikamma’ is a total family entertainer that is best enjoyed in a community viewing experience of a theatre with popcorn and samosas,” he says.

Shirley Setia says, "I have been waiting for this day to arrive and I am elated and thankful for our makers to make this happen and at the right time. I hope that my fans support us with all their love, as they have always done till now."

Shilpa Shetty adds, “I am glad our film Nikamma has a release date set and I cannot wait for audiences to see me in another avatar. As an actress, it is great to be back in the theatres after a hiatus of 15 years. It's the first film I said yes to after my sabbatical, and I was convinced by Sabbir’s grasp on the craft and the unusual and exciting part he had to offer. Avni has been one of my most challenging roles yet, but also a part I enjoyed playing to the hilt. Can’t wait for people to enjoy Nikamma in the theatres.”

Nikamma releases on 17th June 2022.

For the first time since the final Harry Potter film wrapped over a decade ago, Tom Felton is returning to the wizarding world, but not on screen. Big moments and an even bigger meaning

The nearly three-hour show delivered one jaw-dropping moment after another. Beyoncé rode a golden mechanical bull during Tyrant and later glided above the audience in a floating horseshoe while performing Jolene. The production was slick and true to Beyoncé’s unmatched sense of showmanship.

But beyond the dazzling visuals, the performance had a strong emotional core. One of the most touching highlights came when Beyoncé brought her daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi, on stage during Protector.

A tribute to heritage and legacy

The Cowboy Carter tour goes beyond glitz. With this album, Beyoncé reclaims the often-overlooked legacy of Black musicians in country music. Throughout the show, she acknowledged these roots, weaving in powerful tributes and subtle nods to history and resilience.

Some ticket drama but no regrets

Some fans grumbled about ticket prices, especially after seeing last-minute price cuts. Tickets initially sold for up to £950 (₹99,500) but later dropped to £141 (₹14,800) for similar seats.

But as the final notes of 16 Carriages rang out, none of that seemed to matter. Beyoncé had given them something unforgettable: a stormy, sparkling night with a star who still knows how to surprise.
