Multi-starrer comic-caper Total Dhamaal off to great start

Multi-starrer Total Dhamaal, which was highly awaited by fans, finally hit screens on Friday, February 22. Though the movie garnered mixed response from critics, audiences showered loads of love on it which resulted in the opening day collection of ₹ 16.50 crores.

Keeping in mind the fact that Friday was a non-holiday day, the first-day collection of the film is pretty good, especially for a comedy film. The business is expected to soar high on Saturday and Sunday.

Total Dhamaal - non-holiday release - creates dhamaal on Day 1... Biz multiplies as the day progresses... Mass circuits rocking... Metros/plexes witness an upward trend... Biz should grow on Day 2 and contribute to a big total over the weekend... Fri ₹ 16.50 cr. India biz,” tweeted noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

Total Dhamaal, helmed by Indra Kumar, stars an ensemble cast including Madhuri Dixit, Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Javed Jaffrey, Sanjay Mishra, Boman Irani and others.

The film is the third instalment of the superhit film franchise Dhamaal (2007).
