Coolie No. 1 to hit screens on 1st May, 2020

Starring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles, the upcoming Hindi film Coolie No. 1 will roll into theatres on 1st May, 2020. The movie is a remake of the Govinda and Karisma Kapoor starrer of the same name (1995), which has gained cult status over the years.

Varun Dhawan, who steps into the mighty shoes of Govinda to play the lead character of Raju, announced on Wednesday evening the official release date of the film. "Aaj ke din, agle saal aega Coolie No.1 - Hoga Kamaal!!! Coolie No.1 releases on May 1, 2020,” wrote the talented actor.


Apart from announcing the official release date of the much-awaited comic-caper, Varun also unveiled an image of a railways badge that porters at Indian railway stations wear on their uniforms.

Coolie No. 1 will be directed by Varun Dhawan’s filmmaker father David Dhawan, who is known for churning out a series of rib-tickling comedies. Interestingly, the original film was also helmed by him. It is being bankrolled by Vashu Bhagnani.

So, don’t forget to catch Coolie No. 1 in cinemas from 1st May, 2020, onwards.
