Ali Abbas Zafar reveals Katrina Kaif has already started prepping up for the superhero film

A couple of months ago, filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar had announced that he will be directing a two-part superhero film with Katrina Kaif in the lead role. Fans of the actress are super excited to watch her in the action avatar and recently, Ali revealed that Kat has started prepping up for the film.

He told Hindustan Times, “If everything goes well, we should start rolling sometime in January. Katrina has already started her physical prep. But she has a few other commitments to wrap up before starting work on the superhero films.”

Ali is currently in Dubai and is working on the film. He said, “Yes, right now, I – along with my team – is working out of Dubai. The reason being, an international team is working with us on the series but due to the Covid-19 induced travel restrictions, it wouldn’t have been easy for them to fly in-and-out of India. So, in order for things to function smoothly, we have been stationed here.”

Ali and Katrina are good friends and have earlier worked in films like Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Tiger Zinda Hai, and Bharat.

Apart from this superhero film, Katrina has two other interesting projects in her kitty, Sooryavanshi (ready for a release) and PhoneBhoot. The former stars Akshay Kumar as the male lead and was slated to release in March this year but due to the pandemic, it was postponed to Diwali 2020. However, just a couple of days ago, the makers announced that the movie won’t release on Diwali as well.
