5 contestants who won hearts through reality shows

Dharmesh Yelande

Dharmesh is populary known as Dharmesh Sir as before entering the dance reality show Dance India Dance season 2, he was giving dance classes in Baroda, Gujarat. He was part of the dance based movie called ABCD – Anybody Can Dance and ABCD2, which were Remo D’souza. He is one of the captains of Dance Plus on StarPlus.


Neha Kakkar

Neha, who participated in second season of India Idol, became well known quickly since she started singing for Bollywood movies. She sung for movies like Cocktail, Queen, Hate Story 3, Dilwale, Baaghi, Kapoor & Sons, Wajah Tum Ho, Dangal, Hate Story 4, Veere Di Wedding, Loveyatri, Satyameva Jayate and many more. Neha is one of the judges of Indian Idol season 10.

Punit Pathak

Punit was also another contestant of Dance India Dance season 2. He worked as the choreographer for the contestants in four seaons of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Punit also worked as the choreographer for shows like India’s got Talent, Dil Ha Hundustani and Dance Champions. He was part of Remo D’souza’s movie ABCD – Anybody Can Dance and ABCD2.

Shreya Ghoshal

Everyone’s favourite singer of Bollywood, Shreya Ghoshal, started learning singing from the age of 4. She won the All India Light Vocal Music Competition in 1995. In 2000, she participated in the popular music reality show Sa Re Ga Ma on Zee TV, which she won. She was launched in Bollywood by Sanjay Leela Bhansali with the film Devdas, where she sung five songs for the movie and from there her success as singer was never ending even till now. Sherya sung for Jism, Main Hoon Na, Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, Vivah, Krrish, Jab We Met, Student of the Year, Jab Tak Hai Jaan and many more Hindi movies. 

Shakti Mohan

Shakti participated in the second season of Dance India Dance, which she won. She collaborated with composer Mohammed Fairouz on a BBC sponsored dance project, in New York. She also participated in the seventh season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, where she finished in third place. Shakti appeared in many Bollywood movie like Tees Maar Khan, Rowdy Rathore Kaanchi, Samrat & Co and Nawabzaade. She was an Assistant Choreographer for Kamli in Dhoom 3. Nritya Shakti Studio, which was opened by Shakti offers to learn different types of dance. Shakti is one of the captains in Dance Plus on StarPlus.

Initially set to premiere in June 2024, the film's release was postponed to 2025. Along the way, John Wick co-director Chad Stahelski stepped in to oversee additional action scenes, working alongside director Len Wiseman to refine the film’s intense sequences.
