VFX of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra to be done by a London based studio?

Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra has been in the making from the past few years. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles, and after getting pushed multiple times, finally, the movie is slated to release on 4th December 2020.

However, the shooting of the film is still left and it is stalled due to the lockdown. So, we wonder if it will be able to release this year or not.  Meanwhile, Mid-day has reported that a London based studio might be doing the VFX of the film.

A source told the tabloid, "A large portion of the footage has been sent to the London team so that it can begin working on the visual effects in this period. Aware that outsourcing the job and sharing the content can increase the risk of the film being leaked, Ayan wanted only a core team of experts working on it. The director handpicked a five-member team who are the only people in possession of the footage."

A few days ago, there were reports that Brahmastra has gone over budget and the actors will be getting pay cuts in their fees because of that. However, producer Karan Johar took to Twitter to request the media to not spread such stories.

He tweeted, “My hugest request to my media friends not to reach any assumptions on our fraternity  films...these are challenging times for the business and false news only makes the situation worse! Please wait for official news on any account!! This is a humble  request....”

Brahmastra also stars Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna, and Gurfateh Pirzada in the pivotal roles. Shah Rukh Khan will also be seen in a cameo in the movie.
