Super fan of the week - Shrenu Parikh

Award-winning actress Shrenu Parikh has delighted audiences with winning turns on television shows, including drama serial Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 2 and Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna.

She has many super fans, including a group of friends from around the world, who want to remain anonymous and run a fan club dedicated to her. Their mission is to just support their idol.


Eastern Eye caught up with those anonymous super fans to find out more.

What first connected you to Shrenu Parikh?

Her talent attracted us, but her kindness and humility connected us to Shrenu.

What made you become a super fan?

One word, Shrenu. Had she not been there, we’d never come together for this. We are in total awe of her.

Tell us about something super you have done for Shrenu?

I think, bringing fans together for the betterment of Shrenu felt super for us because we were building friendships and bringing people from around the world together to support our idol. Hopefully, we’d be able to do something real super in the near future.

What has been your most memorable moment?

We are still a new team. And just two months in, we’re nominated as super fans in your section. This is something we will not forget and special.

What is the thing you most love about her? 

Her humility and professionalism. It’s rare to find a celebrity who is so down to earth and selfless nowadays, and we are lucky to find Shrenu.

Which quality in Shrenu do you most relate to? 

Her sense of duty. Shrenu does her job with honesty, and so do we. We enjoy running the squad with punctuality and sincerity.

What is your favourite work Shrenu has done?

All her work is special. Every character of hers shows distinction from the others.

Tell us, why do you love being super fans?

It’s an incredible feeling to be a super fan. It feels like our hard work has been appreciated and acknowledged. Thank you for this opportunity.

Leona Lewis’s One More Sleep has officially been named the most streamed British Christmas song of the 21st century. The 2013 festive hit, which reached number three on the UK singles chart, has now surpassed 190 million streams in the UK, according to the Official Charts Company.
