One of the super fans following the dashing talent with the wonderful voice is Umme Kulsum from Bangalore in India. Eastern Eye caught up with Umme to find out more.

What first connected you to Armaan?

I first saw him on Indian Idol and really liked his voice. I followed him on social media and learned that he has accomplished a lot at a very young age. I loved how he inspires everyone to be good human beings. He has seen many ups and downs, but never gave up. He speaks for himself, is genuine, honest and gives time to his fans. I’ve met him a couple of times and he is very humble, speaking to me as if he was my friend.

What made you become a super fan?

For all the qualities just mentioned. Today, I proudly call myself a huge or a super fan because I’ve been constantly supporting him.

Tell us about something super you have done for your idol?

I put up his picture together with some information, which my teachers appreciated. I’ve also done a class presentation on Armaan Malik and sent him postcards and gifts. I talk about his work wherever I go.

What has been your most memorable moment?

The day I met him on 16/9/17 and he hugged me. This was something beyond magical.

What is the thing you most love about him?

His personality. He is super amazing and kind. He motivates us, Armaanians.

What is your favourite work Armaan has done?

I am an Eco Club member, so I liked it when Armaan took part in the Say No To Plastic Campaign. He also took part in mental awareness programmes and contributes to society.

Which quality in Armaan do you most relate to?

He is kind, loving and like our leader. He writes some good quotes and I am a good poetry writer as well.

Why do you love being a super fan?

I like him and love being called his super fan. It gives me great happiness.
