SRK waiting for the right time to announce digital debut plans?

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan had a lot of expectations from his last release Zero (2018). It was one of the costliest films of his career and had generated a lot of pre-release buzz. However, when the movie hit screens on 21st December last year, it largely received negative reviews from critics and audiences also panned the film. After an average start, collections took a nosedive and the film incurred heavy losses to the actor who had produced it under Red Chillies Entertainment.

After Zero, SRK was set to headline the much-delayed Rakesh Sharma biopic, titled Saare Jahan Se Achcha. However, the failure of his ambitious film hit him so hard that he bowed of the biopic at the last moment.

Since some of his films have not performed as per expectations, the superstar is now choosing his next projects very wisely. While he is yet to sign a new film, buzz has it that Khan is planning to make his digital debut soon. However, he is waiting for the right time to announce his digital debut plans.

“Shah Rukh had taken a sabbatical but he is hearing narrations. Amongst many scripts, he has expressed his interest on a feature film. Besides, he is also contemplating his digital debut plans. So, when the time is right, he shall make the official announcement,” a well-placed source revealed.

For the uninitiated, Shah Rukh Khan is already making his digital debut as a producer with the upcoming Netflix original Bard Of Blood, starring Emraan Hashmi and Kirti Kulhari in pivotal roles.
