Shahid Kapoor’s last film was 2019 release Kabir Singh which became one of the highest-grossing films of the year. Kabir Singh was a remake of Telugu movie Arjun Reddy, and Shahid’s next release will also be a remake. Before the lockdown, he was shooting for a film titled Jersey which is a remake of the Telugu movie which had the same title.

Recently, Shahid interacted with his fans on Twitter and during the interaction stated that the team is trying their best to make a good film. A fan asked Shahid, “Huge Expectations From Jersey After Kabir Singh,  Pls Share Something About It With Us?” To this, the actor replied, “Just trying our best to make a good film. But I am very happy with whatever we have done so far. Really enjoying the journey and the team.”

Jersey also stars Shahid’s father Pankaj Kapur in a pivotal role and when a fan asked about his experience of sharing screen space with his father, the actor replied, “I still get nervous sharing the frame with him.”

In Kabir Singh, Shahid gave one of the best performances of his career and a lot of people thought that he would win awards for his performance in the film. But that didn’t happen. When a fan asked if he is disappointed that he didn’t receive awards because of the controversy surrounding the movie, Shahid replied, “On the contrary. I can’t be thankful enough for the love you all have it. I am because of you all.”

Well, a few days ago, Shahid posted a picture from the sets of Jersey and had captioned it as that he is missing being on the sets. Jersey is slated to release in August this year but it looks like it will get postponed as the shooting is not yet completed.
