Shah Rukh has surgery following accident in US

According to reports, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has undergone surgery in the US following an accident on the sets of one of his projects in Los Angeles.

A leading Indian publication reports that the actor has returned to India and is currently recovering at home.

“SRK was shooting in Los Angeles for a project and he ended up injuring his nose. He started bleeding and was immediately taken to a hospital,” the publication quoted a source as saying.

The source further added, “The doctors reassured his team that there was no cause for concern, but a minor surgery was required to stop the bleeding. After the operation, SRK was seen wearing a bandage on his nose.”

Neither Khan nor his team has, however, issued any statement regarding the accident so far.

On the work front, SRK is presently gearing up for the release of his much-anticipated film Jawan. Helmed by Tamil filmmaker Atlee Kumar, the action thriller also features Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, Vijay Sethupathi, and Sunil Grover in significant roles. The film is set to enter theatres on September 7, on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami.

Aside from Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan also has Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki in the pipeline. Also starring Taapsee Pannu in the lead role, the film is slated to hit the marquee on December 16.
