Last year, there were reports that Raveena Tandon will be starring in KGF: Chapter 2. It was said that she will be seen playing the role of Indira Gandhi in the period film. However, the makers had not announced her name in the cast officially.
Today, the director of the film, Prashanth Neel, took to Instagram to inform everyone that Raveena Tandon has kickstarted the shooting of the film. Along with a picture with Raveena, he posted, “The lady who issues the death warrant has arrived? A warm welcome to you @officialraveenatandon mam... The energy you have brought to our set is refreshing!! #ramikasen in the building!! #kgfchapter2?.”
Well, it looks like Raveena’s character’s name in the film is Ramika Sen. It will be interesting to see if the character will be inspired by former late Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi.
KGF (Kolar Gold Fields) released in 2018 and though it was Kannada film, it received a widespread appreciation. Even the Hindi dubbed version of the film did quite well at the box office. The makers have promised that the sequel is going to be bigger and better.
The franchise stars Yash in the lead role and the sequel will also star Sanjay Dutt in a pivotal role. While talking about his character Adheera, Dutt had earlier stated, "Adheera's character is very powerful. If you have seen Avengers, you would know Thanos. So Adheera is like him. He is a very dangerous character with a dangerous get-up. And that's the zone I was looking for."
Well, the official release date of KGF: Chapter 2 is yet to be announced.
