Rajkummar Rao demands whopping amount for Chupke Chupke remake?

Rajkummar Rao is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after actors in the Hindi film industry. He is one actor who never misses to leave an indelible impression on the audience’s mind, irrespective of the box-office fate of his films.

Rao presently has a number of exciting projects on his platter, including Made In China, Roohi-Afza and Turram Khan, but he is constantly flooded with new offers. Since every other filmmaker wants him to be a part of their project, the actor has reportedly hiked his remuneration now.

Yes, according to reports, Rajkummar Rao has decided to increase his fee for his upcoming role in hit filmmaker Luv Ranjan’s next film. Reportedly, the untitled film is an official remake of the 1975 classic Chupke Chupke, originally starring Dharmendra, Sharmila Tagore, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan.

“Raj has been paid to the tune of Rs. 9 crores for Chupke Chupke, which is also by far the highest he has received. But he totally deserves it,” a popular entertainment portal quotes a source as saying.

Though nothing much is known about the forthcoming project at the moment, some industry insiders reveal that Rao has been finalized to play the same role which legendary actor Dharmendra played in the original.

“Luv has been planning the film for some time now. The whole essence and storyline will remain almost the same, with a few additions in terms of the style,” another source informs the portal.

“It is being made to suit the modern era and Raj has been locked to play Dharmendra’s role from the original. They are on the hunt for the other lead cast but as of now, only initial talks have happened with a few A-list actors,” the source concludes.

Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao is gearing up for the release of his next film Made In China. Produced by Maddock Films, the movie also features Mouni Roy in the lead role and is set for its theatrical release on 25th October.

A song shaped by reflection rather than intention

For Dhee, Vari Vari was not born out of a deliberate attempt to move in a new direction. Instead, it arrived during a period of reflection that naturally began influencing the music she was making. Speaking exclusively, the singer described how many of her recent songs have mirrored experiences unfolding in her own life, making them feel more personal than planned.

That emotional undercurrent eventually found its way into Vari Vari. Conversations with lyricist Vivek (Vivek Anna) slowly shaped the track, which grew from discussions around love and human connection. Rather than following a formula, the song evolved organically and became a reflection of thoughts she had already been carrying.
