Rajkummar Rao and Nushrat Bharucha starrer Chhalaang gets a new release date

Rajkummar Rao and Nushrat Bharucha starrer Chhalaang is one of the most awaited films of the year. The movie was earlier slated to release on 31st January 2020, but was postponed to 13th March 2020. However now, once again the release of the film has been delayed.

The movie will now hit the screens on 12th June 2020. Rajkummar Rao took to Instagram to share the new poster of the film and announce the new release date. He posted, “Ab Lenge #Chhalaang 12th June Ko! Masterji Khilayen Kaise? Bachche Busy Hain Exams ki Padhayi Mein. toh Masterji Khilayenge Garmi ki Chhuttiyon Mein! On 13th March 2020, the film was going to clash with Janhvi Kapoor’s Gunjan Saxena, and now on 12th June 2020, it will be clashing with Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday starrer Khaali Peeli.

Chhalaang is directed by Hansal Mehta and produced by Ajay Devgn and Luv Ranjan. This will be Hansal Mehta and Rajkummar Rao’s fifth film together. Earlier, they have worked together in films like Shahid, Citylights, Aligarh, and Omerta.

After having a look at the poster of Chhalaang we can say that the film revolves around sports. With Hansal Mehta and Rajkummar Rao coming together we surely have high expectations from the film. This will be for the first time we will get to see Rajkummar and Nushrat on the big screen together.

Apart from Chhalaang, Rajkummar Rao will be seen in movies like Roohi Afzana and Ludo. Meanwhile, Nushrat has a film titled Hurdang in her kitty.

Union claims ‘brazen retaliation’

Rockstar Games is facing allegations of union busting after reportedly dismissing dozens of staff believed to have been involved in a private workplace-organising chat. According to a Bloomberg report, between 30 and 40 employees across the UK and Canada were let go on 30 October, all linked to a Discord group used to discuss union issues.

The Independent Workers of Great Britain (IWGB) union said some of those affected were members, while others were attempting to organise. In a post on Bluesky, IWGB called the move “the most ruthless act of union busting in the history of the UK games industry”, saying it would fight for the workers to be reinstated.
