Raja Krishna Menon to produce a movie for Netflix

Bollywood filmmaker Raja Krishna Menon, whose credits include Airlift (2016) and Chef (2017), has joined forces with Netflix to produce an original film for the streaming media giant.

Though nothing much is known about the project, some media outlets report that it will be based on the start-up world.

When Menon was contacted, he confirmed the news, saying that he is currently busy locking the cast.

“It is a film that is set in the start-up world. It is the story of modern India. We are still in the process of locking the cast,” said the filmmaker.

Menon will just produce the film as the directorial responsibility has been given to Udai Singh Pawar, who has previously assisted the director on Airlift and Chef.

The untitled movie is expected to premiere towards the end of 2019.

Meanwhile, Raja Krishna Menon is presently busy with his next directorial venture based on the life of former boxing champion and Asian Games gold medalist Dingko Singh. The untitled film stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead role.

How prosecutors said spiritual authority was weaponised

Nathan Chasing Horse, best known for playing Smiles a Lot in Dances With Wolves, was sentenced by a Nevada judge on Monday after a jury convicted him on 13 charges, most linked to sexual assault. He was accused by three women, including one who said the abuse began when she was 14. He was acquitted on some charges.
