Priyanka Chopra and Rajkummar Rao team up for Netflix’s The White Tiger

Priyanka Chopra is surely choosing her projects smartly. While she will be making her Bollywood comeback with The Sky Is Pink, the actress has been roped for Netflix’s upcoming movie The White Tiger. Well, PeeCee will be sharing screen space with the new star of Bollywood and a very talented actor, Rajkummar Rao.

The film will be adapted from Aravind Adiga's prize-winning novel by The White Tiger. It will be directed by Ramin Bahrani and will go on the floors in India later this year.


While talking about being a part of the film, Priyanka told a news agency, "I'm so excited to work with Ramin Bahrani and Netflix to bring Aravind Adiga's poignant story to cinematic life. When I read the book, I was fascinated with the perspective of the narrative. The story's portrayal of raw ambition and the extent one will go to achieve one's goals is riveting. I look forward to filming this in India this fall and also working along with Rajkummar for the first time and the wonderful cast Ramin is putting together.”

Rao added, "It's an exciting time for actors today and I'm thrilled to be a part of such a world-class project. I've been an admirer of Ramin's work and am excited to see The White Tiger come to life."

Talking about directing the film, Ramin said, "I have wanted to make a film of Aravind Adiga's brilliant novel The White Tiger for over a decade. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with Mukul Deora, Netflix and such an incredible cast on this project.”

Well, PeeCee won’t be just acting in the film, but will also serve as the executive producer. The actress also has We Can Be Heroes in her kitty and she had announced that she will be making a movie on Ma Anand Sheela. Coming to The Sky Is Pink, the film, which is directed by Shonali Bose, is slated to release on 11th October 2019.
