Priyanka Chopra has made a mark for herself in Hollywood, and is probably one of the most famous Indian actors there.
Chopra has now found a place for herself among the top 25 global influencers on Linkedin as well. With a total score of 78.8M SMU (Social Media Universe), Chopra joins other popular names like Selena Gomez, Rihanna, Dwayne Johnson, Lady Gaga and Ellen DeGeneres. Chopra is placed 15th on the list, and she holds the distinction of being the first Indian actor to feature in Linkedin's annual list of global influencers.
Talking about making it to the list Chopra said social media is a great medium to connect one-on-one with her fans.
"I've never been someone who worries about making it to a list, but it's nice to be on one with such amazing people," she said, according to DNA. "I keep great company. It's a way to connect one-on-one with people from across the world. It's nice to know that they want to stay in touch with me, too, and are interested in what I have to share. What's great about this list is that all of us seem to have the same idea connect, spread love and just be you."
She always presents her true self on social media and that's something that helped has boosted her popularity. "This is me, real and unfiltered. I think people relate to that, which is important to me. I don't look at it from any other perspective. This is who I am, like it or unfollow," added Chopra.
Chopra is currently busy with the filming of Quantico, which has made her an household name in the US. But working in America was not part of her dream.
"I never had the plan of working in America," she told Filmfare. "I’m destiny’s favourite child and I believe that. I believe there’s a hand on my head, which guides me in the right direction. What I do is that I recognise opportunity. Not all have that ability. It might not bang on your door, it might just walk past you. But you should be able to make something out of it. That’s called being ambitious! And I’m proudly ambitious."
