Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho to get postponed?

Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho is one of the most awaited films of the year. Fans of Prabhas have been eagerly waiting for the film as after Baahubali: The Conclusion, he would be seen on the big screen after a gap of two years in Saaho. The movie is slated to release on 15th August 2019, but reportedly, the film has been postponed to 30th August 2019.

It is said that there are two reasons for this delay. Reportedly, the makers require more time for the VFX of the film and also they want to avoid a clash with multiple films that are releasing on the 15th August 2019.

Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Sharman Joshi and Nithya Menen starrer Mission Mangal, and John Abraham and Mrunal Thakur starrer Batla House are two Hindi films that are slated to release this Independence Day. Also, down South, there are films like Ranarangam and Evaru slated to release on 15th August 2019. So, of course, not just the Hindi version of Saaho, but even the Telugu version would have faced tough competition with the other two releases.

Well, these are just reports and the makers have not yet made any announcement about the new release date.

The teaser of Saaho was launched a few weeks ago and it was a few days ago when the first song Psycho Saiyaan was released. Both, teaser and the song have received a great response.

Saaho is directed by Sujeeth and while talking about working with Prabhas, the filmmaker had told a news agency, "I did not feel the pressure to direct a big star like Prabhas. He has faith in me and my work and that matters the most to me. Also, the producers and the team members showed confidence in me. But now that the film is gearing for a release in a few months, I can feel the pressure."

While talking about Shraddha, he had said, "It is an important role for the female character. Shraddha drives the film to the end. It was a conscious decision to make my female characters strong. When we started working on the teaser, we had two options here - to go with Prabhas, considered as a huge star and you expect him to be there in the opening scene. And other was to begin it with Shraddha and we chose the latter.”

Malaysian woman wins legal case against Cumbria hotel employer over discrimination

Highlights

  • Ong was made to work in conditions that triggered her asthma despite suffering from it since age five.
  • She was the only staff member required to show her passport to receive wages.
  • She was sacked after refusing to move accommodation, having never received any wages.
An Asian migrant working without a legal permit has won an employment tribunal case against a hotel in Cumbria.
Erin Ong, a Malaysian national who was in the UK on a visitor's visa, was managing the 32-room Fisherbeck Hotel in Ambleside when she faced a series of discriminatory treatment by her employer.
Despite her employment being described as "tainted by illegality," an employment judge ruled she was still entitled to claim compensation for discrimination.

Ong, who is well-educated and previously worked as a tax consultant at one of the big four accounting firms, was contacted by Zhiyong Zhou, director of Yatson & Co, which owned and ran the hotel.

She was offered the role of manager on a salary of £28,000 a year, with a promise that a work permit would follow after one month.
