Pearl V Puri to join Ishita Dutta on the cast of Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki 2

Just yesterday we reported that actress Ishita Dutta, who juggles films and television, has been roped in to play the female lead in the second season of Colors’ hit reincarnation drama, Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki.

The latest update on the casting of the show is that the makers have now locked the male lead as well. Yes, according to reports, Indian television heartthrob Pearl V Puri has been finalized to romance Ishita Dutta on Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki 2.

Pearl V Puri is currently seen as Mahir Sehgal on Colors another popular show, Naagin 3. Since the supernatural series is nearing its end, the actor has secured his next project well in advance, it seems.

“The second season of the show will be a love story-cum-thriller. Pearl will commence the shoot immediately after wrapping up Naagin (3). Ishita Dutta has been finalised to play the heroine opposite him,” a well-placed source reveals.

The original show starred Kratika Sengar and Ssharad Malhotra as the lead couple. It was a huge success among the audience. It will be interesting to see if the new season manages to replicate the success of its predecessor or not.

Just like the previous season, Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki 2 will also be produced by Ekta Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Telefilms.

More details are awaited.
