Parineeti Chopra to don a new look in The Girl On The Train remake

Last seen in a brief role in Dharma Productions’ Kesari (2019), Parineeti Chopra is on a roll these days! The trailer of her upcoming film Jabariya Jodi came out recently and received overwhelming response from the audience. Besides Jabariya Jodi, the Ishaqzaade (2012) actress has several interesting projects in her kitty, which will roll one after the other. One of her hugely anticipated film is an official remake of the hit English movie The Girl On The Train (2016).

Parineeti Chopra, who replaced Jacqueline Fernandez as the female lead in the remake, has started prepping for her role. To get a new look, she has changed her hair colour as well. "Changing hair colour peeps," Parineeti wrote on Instagram while sharing an image from the salon along with her hair stylist. "Time to become the Girl On The Train," she added.


Based on the 2015 bestseller by Paula Hawkins, The Girl On The Train is a mystery thriller which revolves around a divorcee woman who gets entangled in a missing person's investigation that throws her life to the brink. The Hollywood film starred popular actress Emily Blunt as the female lead.

Talking about her busy schedule, Parineeti Chopra had recently written on her social media platform, "Three weeks left for Jabariya Jodi to release. Three weeks to start shooting for Girl On The Train. Saina Nehwal training going on simultaneously because I finish Girl On The Train and start shoot immediately! Shifting my house this week.

Reliance Entertainment is bankrolling The Girl On The Train remake, while TE3N (2016) fame Ribhu Dasgupta has come onboard to call the shots.

A childhood favourite gets a darker reboot

For decades, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! was built around masked villains, haunted houses and light-hearted mystery solving. Netflix’s latest reboot is taking that familiar formula in a much darker direction.

The streamer has officially named its upcoming live-action series Scooby-Doo: Origins, with production now underway in Atlanta. Rather than revisiting the gang at the height of their mystery-solving fame, the series explores how they first came together.
