BRITISH police said they were responding to an “incident” at Oxford Circus in central London this evening (24) and have evacuated the Underground station, in an area thronged with people on a busy shopping day. “Officers are responding to reports of an incident at Oxford Circus station,” British Transport Police said on Twitter. “The station is currently closed, please avoid the area at this time,” they said.
