Nick Jonas, singer and husband of actress Priyanka Chopra, recently dropped a video revealing that he has influenza A.

Nick took to his Instagram account on Friday, to explain that he won't be able to perform onstage due to his sickness.

The singer apologized to his fans for 'disappointing' them and mentioned that the Jonas Brothers' show dates have been changed.

The trio, consisting of Kevin Jonas, Nick Jonas, and Joe Jonas, was set to perform in Mexico this weekend.

In the video, Nick said, “Hey, everybody, it’s Nick here. I have some not-so-fun news to share. A couple of days ago, I started feeling kind of rough; I lost my voice when I woke up and grinded that night out...Over the last two, two and a half days, it's gotten progressively worse. I was basically in bed all day yesterday, fever, body ache, sore throat, and really bad cough." He added that after the doctor did a checkup, his health hadn't "gotten better."

"I just need to recover and beat these things. I'm so sorry. I hate disappointing you guys. You do so much to support us. A lot of you have travelled out to be at that show. Just want to say I'm heartbroken over this. Again, I'm really sorry, but I gotta try to beat this thing," he added.

Sharing the video on his Instagram, Nick wrote a long caption that read, "Hi guys. I have come down with the nasty strain of influenza-A that's been going around, and I'm not able to sing at the moment. We always want to be able to give you guys the best show and I'm just not able to do that for these shows in Mexico at this time. These shows are now rescheduled for August. Mexico City: 8/21 and 8/22 Monterrey: 8/24 and 8/25 We are incredibly sorry for the inconvenience this causes some of you. Love you all. You're the best fans in the world. Will bring 120% in August!"

The Jonas Brothers will perform in Ireland next, followed by the UK, Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Switzerland in September. Their final show will take place in Poland on October 16.

They kicked off their tour this year in New Zealand in February.

Megastar Chiranjeevi has found himself in hot water after making comments that many have labelled as sexist during a recent public appearance. Speaking at the pre-release event of Brahma Anandam, the actor expressed his desire for a grandson, sparking a wave of criticism online for what some called outdated and regressive views on gender.

Chiranjeevi joked that his home feels like a "ladies' hostel," with him playing the role of the warden, surrounded by granddaughters. He revealed that he often urges his son, actor Ram Charan, to have a boy to carry on the family legacy. Hollywood’s 2024 shake-up: Women dominate box office, but diversity still lags

For the first time, more than half of the biggest box office hits in 2024 featured a female lead or co-lead, marking a significant shift in Hollywood’s casting trends. A report by the USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative revealed that 54% of the top 100 films had a central female character, a dramatic increase from 30% in 2023 and just 20% in 2007, when the study first began.
Dr. Stacy L. Smith, founder of the initiative, highlighted the milestone, calling it a breakthrough in gender representation. “This isn’t a sudden financial realisation, but the result of years of advocacy, industry efforts, and diversity initiatives,” she stated.

Among the year’s biggest films leading this change were Wicked starring Cynthia Erivo, and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga with Anya Taylor-Joy. The study also pointed out variations across film studios. Universal Pictures had female leads in nearly 67% of its top films, while Sony Pictures trailed with 38.5%.

The new presenters include Elle Fanning, John Lithgow, June Squibb, and Bowen Yang, adding a mix of Hollywood veterans and fresh faces to the stage. While the specific categories they’ll present remain under wraps, tradition suggests last year’s Best Actor winner, Cillian Murphy, will hand out the Best Actress award, and Emma Stone will return the favour for Best Actor.

Rumours are swirling about a potential opening performance by Wicked stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, both nominated for their roles in the highly anticipated musical. While Grande remained coy about the possibility, fans are already buzzing with excitement.

The Oscars will air live on ABC and stream on Hulu, with a red-carpet pre-show kicking off at 6:30 p.m. ET. As the countdown begins, the Academy promises more surprises and announcements in the coming weeks.

With a mix of Hollywood royalty, heartfelt tributes, and a touch of Conan O’Brien’s signature humour, the 2025 Oscars are shaping up to be a night to remember.
