Ludo trailer: This Anurag Basu directorial looks like a fun film

Murtuza Iqbal

Anurag Basu’s next directorial Ludo stars Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Rajkummar Rao, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Rohit Saraf, Pearle Maaney, Pankaj Tripathi, Asha Negi, Shalini Vats, and Inayat Verma. The movie was slated to hit the big screens in April this year, but due to the pandemic, it was postponed.

A few weeks ago, it was announced that Ludo will get a direct-to-digital release on Netflix, and today, the makers have released the trailer of the film. Well, the trailer is damn good and it looks like a fun film.

Abhishek took to Instagram to share the trailer with everyone. He posted, “Ludo Trailer Zindagi ka khel, aur Ludo ki dice ka koi bharosa nahi. Kab baazi palat jaye, kisiko nahi pata. #Ludo On 12th November, only on Netflix.”

It’s a multi-starrer and all the actors have been given a good scope in the trailer. However, it’s the cute-little Inayat Verma and the very talented Rajkummar Rao who steal the show.

While talking about the film, director Anurag Basu stated, “Ludo is unlike any film I’ve made before. It's been an adventure. It was fantastic working with such a talented ensemble - where each actor brought a unique vision and craft. Pritam, one of my closest collaborators, who I have worked with on so many projects, worked closely with me to bring this film to life and I am so grateful to him. T-Series have been fantastic partners through this process and I’m excited that Ludo is getting a global audience with Netflix and hope that they enjoy this Diwali entertainer with their families.”

Producer Bhushan Kumar added, “Ludo takes you on multiple journeys in the course of a couple of hours, introducing you to characters that will stay with you long after the film is over. Each actor in the film has brought a unique flavor to his or her story, which I don't think anyone else could have done justice to. Working with Dada (Anurag Basu) is a process I enjoy thoroughly. I’m eager for audiences across the world to watch this fun-filled caper on Netflix, our incredible partner in this journey.”

Ludo will premiere on Netflix on 12th November 2020.

When AI takes over podcasts human creators are struggling to keep up

AI podcasts flood the internet threatening independent creators and reshaping a $39 billion audio industry

Highlights:

  • AI can make thousands of podcast episodes every week with very few people.
  • Making an AI podcast episode costs almost nothing and can make money fast.
  • Small podcasters cannot get noticed. It is hard for them to earn.
  • Advertisements go to AI shows. Human shows get ignored.
  • Listeners do not mind AI. Some like it.

A company can now publish thousands of podcasts a week with almost no people. That fact alone should wake up anyone who makes money from talking into a mic.

The company now turns out roughly 3,000 episodes a week with a team of eight. Each episode costs about £0.75 (₹88.64) to make. With as few as 20 listens, an episode can cover its cost. That single line explains why the rest of this story is happening.
