Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Dostana 2 to start rolling in October this year?

Dostana starring Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra released in 2008. After a long wait, a few weeks ago, the makers finally announced the sequel to the film. Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor will be seen playing the lead roles in Dostana 2 and according to a report in an entertainment portal, the film will start rolling in October this year.

A source said, "Kartik is busy with a few projects already. He just wrapped up the sequel of Love Aaj Kal and is now shooting for Pati, Patni Aur Woh in Lucknow. After he wraps this schedule, Kartik will finish the whole film by September-end. On the other hand, Janhvi is juggling between two movies- the biopic on IAF officer Gunjan Saxena and Rooh-i-Afza. She will also be completely free only by September."


"The idea is to complete the film in two to three schedules. So they shoot between October to December. Kartik takes a small break from the shoot to finish promotions for Pati, Patni and resumes again. Then January onwards, Kartik moves on to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 whereas Janhvi will start prepping for her role in Karan Johar's Takht which is also scheduled to begin early next year," added the source.

The makers have roped in a newcomer to star in the movie. Reportedly, the third actor in the film is Farah Naaz and Vindu Dara Singh's son Fateh Randhawa. However, the makers are yet to make an official announcement about it.

It is also said that Janhvi and Kartik will be seen as siblings in the movie. While the makers have announced Dostana 2, they are yet to reveal when it will hit the screens. The movie was also supposed to star Rajkummar Rao, but things didn't work out. However, Rao has stated that he will soon do a film with Karan Johar.

Chinese vessel tracked in Bay of Bengal after disabling identification system

A Chinese research vessel was detected operating in the Bay of Bengal near Indian waters while attempting to conceal its presence by disabling its Automatic Identification System (AIS), according to a report by The Economic Times, citing French maritime intelligence firm Unseenlabs.
