Karan Johar reveals his kids have started asking questions about their mother

“Being a parent is never easy. In my case, I am an only child and a single father,” Johar concluded.

Karan Johar reveals his kids have started asking questions about their mother

In a recent heartfelt revelation, Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar shared that his twins, Yash and Roohi, have begun to ask questions about their mother.

Johar, a single parent, welcomed his children through surrogacy in 2017.

Johar, known for his blockbuster films and candid personality, has always been open about his journey into fatherhood.

He chose surrogacy as a means to fulfill his dream of becoming a parent, a decision that was met with both support and curiosity from the public.

His twins, Yash and Roohi, named after his late father Yash Johar and mother Hiroo Johar, have been the center of his world ever since.

In a recent interview, the filmmaker has opened about the complexities of parenting and how his kids have started asking him some questions.

“It breaks my heart when I see my son consuming sugar and putting on weight... I am so paranoid about it. I don’t want to say it to him because this is the age I want him to enjoy life. I want him to be happy and carefree because he is a happy child. But I can see the genetic... I can’t call it a flaw, I get it from my mom and I know he’s getting it from me," Karan said on The Faye D’Souza Show.

The filmmaker added, “I encourage him to play sports, play football, play cricket, do all the things that I didn’t do, and then I think to myself, 'I shouldn’t be this kind of parent. This is not who I wanted to be. I want my child to be his own person of his own choice. I find myself really struggling not to say insensitive things to my own children.”

KJo continued, “I am also dealing with questions like, 'Whose stomach was I born in? Mumma is not mumma, she is my grandmom,’” said Karan, while revealing that he is trying to handle the situation with support from the school counsellor.

“Being a parent is never easy. In my case, I am an only child and a single father," Johar concluded.

Graham Norton's legal victory against Meta is attracting attention beyond the entertainment world. The broadcaster successfully obtained a court order in California requiring the social media giant to disclose information that could identify the operator of an anonymous Facebook page accused of spreading false claims and deepfake content about him.

According to court filings, the account published fabricated stories about Norton's health, his husband and even falsely claimed that his mother had died. While the case centres on a high-profile television personality, its wider significance lies in what it could mean for others facing similar online attacks.
