Kanika Kapoor on being tested positive for the fourth time: I hope my next test is negative

Yesterday, it was reported that singer Kanika Kapoor has been tested positive for coronavirus for the fourth time. She is currently getting treatment at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow, India.

Last night, Kanika took to Instagram to give an update about her health and she stated that she hopes that her next test will be negative. She posted, “Going off to bed. Sending you all loving vibes. Stay safe you guys ❤ Thank you for your concern but I am not in the ICU. I am fine. I hope my next test is negative. Waiting to go home to my kids and family ?❤ miss them!”

Kanika’s family is worried about her health. A family member had recently told a news agency, “We are now worried over the test reports. It seems that Kanika is not responding to treatment and in this lockdown, we cannot even airlift her for advanced treatment. We can only pray for her recovery.”

Kanika had traveled to London earlier this month, and after coming back to India, she didn’t go under quarantine. There were also reports claiming that the singer decided not to get tested at the airport when she came back. However, Kanika stated that she was tested at the airport.

Well, we hope that Kanika recovers soon and once again entertains us with her wonderful voice.

Highlights

  • Ranbir Kapoor joins a short, selective list of Indian actors recognised by TIME
  • Earlier names were featured at moments of global crossover or cultural influence
  • The list shows how international visibility shapes recognition

Ranbir Kapoor’s inclusion in the TIME 100 Most Influential People list for 2026 places him in a rare group of Indian actors who have featured over the years. While the list spans global figures across industries, representation from Indian cinema has remained limited, with only a handful of actors making the cut at key moments of international visibility.
