John Abraham to do a cameo in Arjun Kapoor-Rakul Preet Singh starrer?

Keeping the failure of Panipat (2019) aside, Arjun Kapoor is currently busy shooting for his next. The untitled project, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Nikkhil Advani, stars Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead. This is the first time when Arjun and Rakul have teamed up for a project.

The latest we hear that John Abraham, who was most recently seen in Pagalpanti (2019), has agreed to do a cameo in the yet-to-be-titled film, after producer Nikkhil Advani requested him for the same.

According to a source, the upcoming film essentially revolves around Arjun and Rakul's characters. John Abraham has come onboard to play a younger version of talented actor Kumud Mishra and will feature in one of the flashback sequences in the film. The makers are now looking for a newcomer who could play Neena Gupta's younger version. John will shoot for his portion after wrapping up his next offering Satyamev Jayate 2 with director Milap Zaveri.

A source close to the development informed a publication that Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh and the team will head off to Los Angeles for the final shoot after wrapping up the second schedule. “Filming will be wrapped up by January end, following which the team moves on to post-production. The film will release next year,” the source said.

Interestingly, Rakul Preet Singh is doing another film with John Abraham where she plays her love interest. Titled Attack, the race-against-time action thriller also features Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead role. Written and directed by debutant Lakshya Raj Anand, the actioner is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 14th August, 2020.
