Jigyasa Singh signs a show on triple talaq

We had recently reported a story on Zee TV's next show based on the concept of triple talaq in Muslim community. Initially, Punjabi model Kanika Maan was in talks to play the female lead in the show, tentatively titled Ishq Pakeezah. However, if latest reports are anything to go by, the makers have now roped in popular television actress Jigyasa Singh to headline the cast.

A source close to the development says, “The decision was made of Kanika playing the lead in Ishq Pakeezah. However, the channel’s last-minute change has opened the path for Jigyasa to blossom in this role.”

Jigyasa rose to fame after playing a stammering girl Thapki is Colors' popular show, Thapki Pyaar Ki. The instant success of the show made her a household name and now she will return to the small screen to enthrall the audience with her new soap.

To be produced by Creative Eye, the show stars Adnan Khan as the male lead. Interestingly, Manish Goplani, Jigyasa's co-star from Thapki Pyaar Ki will be seen in another Zee TV show, Detective Didi.

Ishq Pakeezah also has a talented team of actors like Vinay Jain, Gunn Kansara and Samiksha Bhatnagar in its star cast.

We wish good luck to Jigyasa for her new show.
