Jacqueline Fernandez and Kartik Aaryan to headline Kirik Party remake

Last seen opposite superstar Salman Khan in Tips Films’ action entertainer Race 3 (2018) Jacqueline Fernandez will now work with popular actor Kartik Aaryan in the Hindi remake of superhit Kannada film Kirik Party (2016).

Kartik, who started his career with Pyaar Ka Punchnama in 2011, is basking in the success of his recent blockbuster Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018), which went on to rake in over 100 crores at the Indian box-office.

A source close to the development reveals that Fernandez did a look test recently. “Jacqueline really liked the script and gave her nod to the film. She even did a look test recently. They will begin workshops and readings soon,” informs a source close to the development.

Confirming Jacqueline’s casting, producer Ajay Kapoor said, “We are excited to have Jacqueline on board as she is someone the youth relates to and has an amazing screen presence. This is the first time Jacqueline and Kartik have been cast together and we are confident that the audience will enjoy watching this fresh pair.”

The film is set to begin production in October and the makers are looking at releasing it in the first half of 2019.
