Ishita Dutta bags Ekta Kapoor Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki 2?

Producer Ekta Kapoor is really on a roll! She is currently producing about half a dozen shows, including Kumkum Bhagya, Kundali Bhagya, Naagin 3, Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Daayan, and all of them are doing pretty well on TRP charts.

In addition to that, Ekta is already working on the second season of her popular supernatural show, Kavach, which is expected to hit the airwaves soon. The latest we hear that the Indian television czarina has now given a go-ahead to the second season of Colors’ reincarnation drama, Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki.


While the first season of the show starred Kratika Sengar and Ssharad Malhotra in the principal cast, Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki 2 will be headlined by actress Ishita Dutta, who debuted on television in 2013 with Star Plus’ Ek Ghar Banaunga and has also worked in films like Drishyam (2015) and Firangi (2017).

Besides Ishita Dutta, actor Manoj Chandila is also expected to join the cast of the show to play an important character.

Meanwhile, Ishita Dutta is presently busy promoting her next Bollywood film, titled Blank. Also starring superstar Sunny Deol and debutant Karan Kapadia in lead roles, the Sanjay Sharma directorial is set to arrive on 3rd May, 2019.

UK clearance comes through

While Jana Nayagan remains embroiled in a certification dispute in India, the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) has cleared Vijay’s final film for release in the UK. The BBFC classified the film as suitable for audiences aged 15 and above on January 6, a day before the Madras High Court resumed hearings on the stalled CBFC process.

The clearance comes as producers await a decision in India ahead of the film’s planned January 9 release.
