Is Deepika Padukone not signing any film after Chhapaak and ’83 to embrace motherhood?

Deepika Padukone and her pregnancy have been in the news multiple times. A few months ago, a picture of her from the Met Gala had gone viral and it started speculation that the actress, who got married to Ranveer Singh last year in November, is pregnant. However, it just turned out to be a rumour.

Now according to a report in a daily, the actress is not signing any films after Chhapaak and ’83 as she wants to embrace motherhood. A source told the daily, “In fact, she wanted to take a break for motherhood after Chhapaak. But Ranveer was very keen that Deepika plays his wife in ’83.”

After Padmaavat, Deepika took a break and now again she is all set to take a break after Chhapaak and ’83. A close friend of the actress told the daily, “When she took that break after Padmaavat, she was being offered the best of films and a remuneration unheard of for a female lead in Bollywood. Now, after marriage, she is ready to take another break when the world is at her feet.”

Padmaavat was Deepika’s last release and we will get to see her on the big screen after a gap of two years in Chhapaak which is slated to release in January next year. ’83 will hit the screens in April 2020.

Talking about the pregnancy rumours, a few days ago, Deepika, Ranveer and Arjun Kapoor’s conversation on Instagram had started speculations that the actress is pregnant. While Ranveer was live on Instagram, the actress had commented on it with an emoji of a baby, “Hi Daddie.” To this Ranveer had replied, “Hi baby.” To fuel up the rumours, Arjun commented, “Baba bhabhi is gonna give u one.”

We won’t be surprised if it is soon announced that Deepika is pregnant.
