Hrishikesh Pandey on his crazy childhood, cooking disasters and more!

Television actor Hrishikesh Pandey, who is known for playing Sachin in Indian television's longest running show, C.I.D, will soon be seen as Ripudaman in Siddharth Kumar Tewary's upcoming magnum opus Porus! In this brief interview, he talks about his crazy childhood encounters, his best and worst purchases and who he feels is perfect in the industry.

Was there ever a time when you messed everything up, but no one ever found out that it was you?

In my childhood days, I used to screw up many things, like a TV remote and those antennas that came with the set and no one got to know about it.

What would you name your boat if you had one? Why?

I would like to name it Titanic and it would be as romantic as the original one, but the only thing is that it would not sink.

Which celebrity would you rate as a perfect 10? Why?

Amitabh Bachchan, he is perfect in every sense.

Which fictional character would be the most boring to meet in real life? Why?

Any superheroes, they are not real and I cannot relate to them at all.

What are the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made?

The best purchase would be the flat that I bought in Mumbai and the worst one would be the land, that I bought near Mumbai. I purchased it without knowing the details about it. I would advise everyone to never invest in properties without knowing the details.

If you had to change your name, what would your new name be, and why would you choose that name?

I would not want to change my name because it is given to me by my parents and I love my name as much as I love them.

What’s your biggest cooking disaster in the kitchen which you have experienced?

My sister, brother and I used to make halwa after dinner, when my parents went for a walk, every day. There was this one time when we almost burnt the entire halwa. But we still ate it as it was because we love sweets.

What is the craziest thing you have done?

I love sweets and I used to get a scolding for eating them. We lived in a four-storey building and our place was on the ground floor, so there was this one time when I climbed down the entire pipeline from the fourth floor and entered the house from the behind to have sweets that were kept there. That is the craziest thing that I remember.

If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what question would you ask?

I would want to know that when will the political scenario in our country change and everyone would work selflessly for the betterment of the country, without thinking about money.

What ridiculous thing has someone tricked you into doing or believing?

There was this one time when I had been to this remote place for a shoot. There, someone told me that there are ghosts near a temple and that there is no light there. In fact, some incidents also happened which forced me to believe that.
